![]() I immediatly allowed it and attempted to click on the game icon in the taskbar, but the same problem persisted. Also, while I was clicking randomly in frustraiton, a fire wall window came up (the desktop moving again.) telling me that it was blocking some content from the game, which makes me think I must've pressed the multiplayer button on the main menu. However, the screen I see (which would be the desktop) freezes up (though I can move the mouse just fine, and click it too). I think this because the mouse changes to the Empire:Total War mouse but nothing else changes. ![]() The "prepraring to launch Empire:Total War" window comes up and the starts, I just can't see it. None of them fixed the problem fixed the problem I've tried restarting the computer and reinstalling steam and Empire:Total War, as well as verified the integrity of the files. BTW I did nothing to anything else in my computer, so it's not the graphics card i don't think.) and reinstalled steam and Empire:Total War, but now when I try to play, it won't launch properly. I actually didn't experience any of the errors mentioned in the other forums.īut now I upgraded to Windows 7 (64bit. I installed steam and Empire:Total War on an xp (32bit) and played it for a long time just fine. No it only works with steam, But you can try and change the settings in steam so that it doesn't auto patch, don't know if it works but the option/setting is defiantly there. ![]() I haven't found this problem on any forum, so please, if anyone knows how to fix it tell me.
